Mr. Brownlee’s season continues at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin (Almaviva), followed by a program of bel canto arias at Copenhagen’s Tivoli Concert Hall and ends in Italy at Teatro alla Scala (Lindoro) and with a debut at the Arena di Verona (Almaviva). 2009/2010 engagements included Almaviva to open the Washington National Opera’s season, Mayr’s Medea in Corinto in St. Gallen, and the previously mentioned Armida in its first production on the Met stage, transmitted in HD and recently released on DVD by Deutsche Grammophon.
